Race Information

Race Date:
Saturday, October 9, 2021

Race Location:
Right in front of Triangle Char + Bar, at the corner of Savannah Highway and Magnolia Road in the Avondale neighborhood of West Ashley

Times:
7:00am – Registration/Check in Begins (if you missed online registration, you can register the morning of the race)
8:00am – 5K Run & Walk starts (chip timing)
8:30 – 11:00am – After Race Party happens in Triangle’s parking lot

Registration Fees:
$35 Pre-Registration (includes bib, T-shirt and After Race Party admission)
$40 for Day-of Registration (includes bib and After Race Party admission, T-shirt while supplies last)
$20 for just the After Race Party admission

Packet Pick-Up:
Friday, October 8 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Triangle Char + Bar
828 Savannah Hwy, West Ashley
If you miss online registration, you can register during Packet Pick-up or the morning of the race.
We encourage you to attend this pre-race packet pick-up event. This will allow you to show up ready to run on Saturday.

Course:
5K course that winds through the scenic Avondale subdivision in West Ashley. Flat and fast!

Parking:
Please park only in designated or legal parking spaces. Do NOT park anywhere on the Race Course. If possible, please ride your bike or carpool.

What to Bring:
THE ENTIRE FAMILY! Dogs and strollers are welcome. All well behaved dogs must be on a leash and attached to their owners at all times.

Awards:
Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female winners and the top three finishers in each age group. (Five-year age group categories)

The Cause

The Avondale 5K was created in 2010 to help fund the Charles Webb Center. The CWC is a developmental day care operated by the Disabilities Board of Charleston County, serving children with special needs from age 6 weeks to 10 years old.

The mission of Charles Webb is to aid in each child’s growth and development through an educational program, to develop each child’s sense of self-esteem, and to strengthen each child’s social, language and preschool skills. The Charles Webb Center focuses on the individual strengths of each child to maximize his or her learning in all areas of development.

All of the proceeds from the Avondale 5K race go directly to the Charles Webb Center to pay for classroom equipment, supplies, food, etc. Without the help of the A5K, Charles Webb would not be able to continue its service.
